I've noticed the same thing and it is very annoying, especially since I have to support code written in both versions. Does anyone know if there is an ini setting that can change this?

I'm programmatically loading values into the text ring so operators can select values from files. Now I have to hide the index and reverse the array of strings I load into the control. Version dependent, of course. It's very annoying.

I have not noticed this before you pointed it out.

It looks like the decrement/increment buttons got swapped in the upgrade.

If it is of any help I have swapped the buttons in the attatched VI. I used the control editor to swap the buttons and their icons.

Thanks. I can use the control in the new version. Seems like NI ought to fix it though. It's counter-intuitive unless the digital indicator is invisible. I noticed the LV5 VI takes 10K; LV7 VI takes 8K. That's good, but not at the expense of inverted operation.

Hi there,

What you are describing has already been documented here.

If you would suggest an option for choosing "old style" rings, then please post your feedback to National Instruments under the Product Feedback link here.

Thanks!
