Missing buttons

Solved!
Go to solution

So this may be a silly LabNOOB question I have, but...

Every time I right click and select "create a control/indicator" I get something that looks like the one on the left, big and boxy.

But every single control/indicator I see on these labview forums look like the 2 on the right.

I have some .vis that people have helped me troubleshoot and they have put those controls/indicators in, so I can go into that .vi and copy/paste them into other programs but that is a pain in the tuchas.

Where are these buttons?  I cannot find them.

Also, can I make it so that right clicking and selecting "create a control/indicator" will default to the style on the right instead of on the left?

I am running labview 8.5 by the way, in case that matters.

Right-click the terminal and unselect "show as icon".

There is also a configuration option that determines what kind of icons you get when creating controls or indicators.

The configuration altenbach mentioned can be found by navigating to "Tools > Options..." - select Block Diagram from the category and then uncheck the "Place front panel terminals as icons.  This will change the default, if you prefer the smaller form factor. Smiley Happy
