Mixed Signal Graph control: cumulative issues

Mixed Signal Graph control (MSG) is a really powerful control to easily present data, but since it has been introduced (LV 8.0 I think) it hasn't been developed a lot, so in LV 2011 there are some open issues (bugs, requests, ...). Some of them have alrady been posted, but apparently never considered...

  • programmatically se the group names (or here)
  • plot legends not deleted when the graph is cleared (see here)
  • bug in changing plot area height (see here)
  • when a MSG is customized, adding new plot areas doesn't retain the settings for plot color (white is taken) and grid color (grren) - see here
  • cursor events missing (Cursor Grab - Cursor Grab? - Cursor Move - Cursor Release)
  • a Mixed Signal Graph control with "system" theme also in the plot legend tree (see here)
  • add plot visibility checkbox (like other graphs)
  • add a way to programmatically remove a plot from the graph (see here)

I hope this issues can be fixed in the next LabVIEW release.

Thanks for your feedback. I will take a look at these issues and see what features we can add in future releases. You will be happy to learn that the bug in changing plot area height has already been addressed in the next release.

one more bug:

  • when a MSG is customized, adding new plot areas doesn't retain the modified splitter height (the splitter is the element between two plot areas, that you can drag to resize the plot area height) - the 6 pixels default is used
