Mixed signals DAQ assist will not split

I'm using the split signals on a NI 6363-USB split the signal to be fed into different function in the labview code.

The DAQ assist is located within 1 while loop.

However it seems that rather than splitting the signal it seems to make 3 (same number of additional added channels) 'rough' copies of the signal.

Is this a common problem? Suggestions to fix this?

Hi florian,

most probably this is just a programming error in your VI - but as you didn't attach your VI this guess may be wrong…

Suggestions to fix this?

Check your VI. Twice.

Or even better: get rid of all ExpressVIs! (Seriously!)

Best regards,
GerdW

What other functions might be useful to replace the DAQ VI. We mainly are interested in reading in a signal and when certain values are reached (eg. we are filling a tank till certain pressure) creating triggering signals (TTL etc.) to open  valves, trigger camera.

Hi florian,

you know how to create screenshots in Windows? Oh gosh, a photo taken with a phone…

But atleast one can read the comment in your blockdiagram: "Sensor1-USB6363-channel 0". I guess you read just this one channel with the DAQAssistent so the question is: how do you want to split this single signal into 4?

(It might help to learn LabVIEW basics. It definitely helps to use AutoCleanup!)

What other functions might be useful to replace the DAQ VI.

Thanks for those AppNotes from NI

Best regards,
GerdW
