Multicolumn Listbox Mouse Over Text Display Limit?

When  have autosize row height off and the text is too big to display when you mouse over the text the box expands to show all of its contents.  It seems to be limited to 245 characters (see attached LV 8.0 example).  Does anyone know if this is configurable or a fixed limit?

Hello Matt,

I believe this is related to a known issue regarding the character limit of a tip strip.  It is slightly different behavior so I'll send this off to our R&D department to take a look at also (issue 3URCLS3A).  Thank you very much for posting and for letting us know of potential problems!  I don’t see a problem with all the characters being visible when you resize the width of the cell, so hopefully this will suffice.

Thanks again,

Apparently this behavior still exists (5 years later).  I can't display one of NI's error code messages in a tip strip - it gets truncated. Furthermore, if auto row height is enabled, the tip strip does not activate within the entire cell boundary. You must move the cursor to the upper portion of the cell for it to pop up and show you the truncated contents.
