My Vi runs perfectly on its own, but when i run it as a sub-vi it hangs, unless i make the front pannel pop up when the sub vi is called

Do you mean it hangs the calling VI?

How do you call the subVI and how does the subVI terminate on its own?

Can you attach the subVI?

The sub-vi initiates a visa session, does the required measurements and then closes the visa session and returns the measured value

Yes, The sub-vi hangs when called.

There is nothing speacial that i m doing while calling it.

Hi Pitchfork,

have you right click the sub-vi and select SubVI-node setup, and selected Suspend when called? This will halt the subVI. You can also set this in the VI options.
