Hi! I have problems with thermistor readings with NI-435x devices but only under Windows 2000. If I connect low nominal resistance thermistors (4.7KOhms or 10KOhms @25°C) I do not have problems. Conversely, with high nominal resistance thermistors (47KOhms or 100KOhms@25°C) I have problems with the range selection. The measurements I read with MAX NI-DAQ Test Panel or with Labview are completely nonsense. For example, setting the range to 600KOhms, I measure 25KOhms for both 47 and 100Kohms thermistors while I measure the correct values with the 4.7 and 10Kohms. The same happens with different values of input ranges, obviously greater than the nominal value of the thermistor resistance.
Moreover, if I connect two thermistors at two
different channels I read the same value of resistance for both the channels for most values of input ranges.
If I perform voltage measurements in the same configuration I have no problems, provided that the voltage inout range is greater than the voltage drop across the thermistor.
The same happens for 4350 USB and for 4351 under Windows 2000 with two different personal computers while, if I use a 4351 under Windows NT, I have no problems.
Thank you in advance
