NI-488: Command requires GPIB Controller to be Controller in Charge.

Hi!
I'm workiing with a semaphore and keep receiving an error message stating:

LabVIEW:  An input parameter is invalid. For example if the input is a path, the path might contain a character not allowed by the OS such as ? or @.
=========================
NI-488:  Command requires GPIB Controller to be Controller in Charge.

I've never used a semaphore before, so I'm not sure how much I needed to do to configure it, so the problem probably lies there.  Can anyone help?>
Thanks

Hi ambrownst...,

when you work with semaphores you surely don't get GPIB errors...
So in your case it's the other error description: invalid parameter!

Could you please post your vi or at least a picture of the block diagram?
Best regards,
GerdW
