Again, following the article was a recommendation to filter out any possible bad installation. If you can’t add the module offline then you are facing a software corruption issue (in this context you would need to reinstall the software).
I configured a controller and a chassis on my end and took a couple screenshots of the expected behavior. The module is not visible in MAX but you can use it in LabVIEW (check the shipping example).
I found a couple knowledge bases that you can check to solve the problem (4FCHS33U & 42G1ETEI). If the problems persist please contact NI's support department to deeply troubleshoot the errors.

Kudos to you Alejandro!! I have read every document that was recommended, but to be honest, there is so much information that it can get confusing. As with most programming languages & hardware, I'll get the hang of it with some experience. We will definitely follow your advice. I have already contacted someone in the academic support services NI provides. It's nice having a forum that allows us to quickly try stuff out first. We have successfully created a new project, let NI discover the hardware, and see the hardware in the project.
