NI CAN Demo Box

I am looking around for more information and other resources for learning to use the CAN devices. On line I found an example: Simple LabVIEW Example NI USB_CAN with NI CAN Demo box. After looking around I found more information on how to use this thing. The only thing I can't find is where to download it or how mutch it might cost!  I also found a NI CAN Device Simulator for about $1000. This might be a little too much to use to experiment with for the home hobbiest.

Depending on our current expertise with NI-CAN, one place to start is http://www.ni.com/white-paper/12427/en, also here is a table of NI-CAN hardware their compatibility https://www.ni.com/en/support/documentation/supplemental/07/ni-can-product-compatibility-and-feature.... As far as how to use that specific example the CAN Demo Box is the CAN Device Simulator so using this example assumes you have a simulator already. 

If you are looking to familiarize yourself with NI-CAN with NI Hardware, the best place to go is https://www.ni.com/docs/en-US/bundle/ni-can-hw-sw-seri/resource/370289t.pdf, and remember you need to have a 2 can Devices or a CAN card with 2 ports so you can have a sender and listener.
