NI LabVIEW community install fails on vc_runtimeMinimum_x86

Why does the community edition not provide a web based installer? The download only results in an error on vc_runtimeMinimum_x86 not found and nothing to fix it. Followed a repair too thing and now wondering which other software no longer works.

That error is not directly related to any NI's product. You are getting that error because you are missing a package, specifically the "vc_runtimeMinimum_x86" one, and it is usually related to a past malware infection. If you are still struggling with that, I'd suggest you install it again and run a registry scan in order to fix the sort of things that could've affected your installation process.

I actually fixed the problem by uninstalling all VC Runtime 2022, download a LabVIEW 2019 Community and installing this.

What Microsoft refers to is this install/uninstall diagnostic tool. It helps to remove and/or install problematic installations.

To be able also to install Visual Studio, I had to use this tool to remove all VC Runtime 2019 (minimum and additional) before it was able to install with a similar "not found" error.
