NI Labview Software Installation Sequence

I need some clarifications on the sequence to be used while installing different NI-softwares. The following is the sequence I follow during the installation,

1. NI-Fgen - 2.3 version
2. NI-Scope - 3.3 version
3. NI-Labview Run Time Engine 6.1
4. NI-DMM - 2.1 version
5. NI-LabWindows CVI RTE 8.1.1

Now, I am planning to upgrade the NI-Labview Run Time Engine from 6.1 to 8.6.1. Can you please help me on the following,

1. Can I directly install the Labview RTE 8.6.1 on top the above installed softwares?
2. If not, is there a way to remove the Labview RTE 6.1 separately and install the 8.6.1 version?
3. If not, should I roll-back all the installed NI-softwares and re-install them. If so, in the above five steps till what step should I roll back? Is it sufficient to roll back till step-3 and install 8.6.1 followed by steps 4 & 5?

There is a plan to upgrade the Labview RTE for one of the customer and it is very urgent. I need this clarification as soon as possible so that I can move forward.

Thanks and Regards,

You can install the 8.6.1 runtime next to the 6.1 runtime, for the MSI installer engine/library it are seperate products.

I'm not sure about Fgen, scope and DMM, but you might need to reinstall them. (I would check if you are missing any functionality before trying that, because I doubt if there is a version of those that support 6.1 and 8.6.1
