Hi all, this is my first post here.
I am attempting to control a Cincinnati EZT-560 from a PC through the use of ICS 4899 GPIB-to-ModBus controller. Right now, I just want to use the RS-232 mode on the 4899. I am having some trouble getting response from the 4899, so I am eliciting response to what might be happening.
The 4899 is receiving commands ok from the GPIB, but the response is always scrambled.
For example,
send:
*IDN?
receive:
ICS electr nics, 4899, soN 608024, rww 01.13 vws 01.03.10
send:
SYST:COMM:SER:PAR?
receive:
EWEO:
also
the receive vi is giving me a Generic I/O File Error (6)
I've checked the GPIB cable and it's working fine, I am wondering if it's problem with the 4899 controller on Cincinnati temp chamber.
