NI-MAx same model interface

Solved!

Hi all,

I have a question about NI MAX setting.

When communicating with GPIB, there is no problem connecting one signal generator but

when communicating with two signal generators of the same model, a strange string is queried in the attached picture as follows:

then, What is the problem with this setting?

Is it an error caused by the same instrument model?

I'll be waiting for the reply.

Thank you.

I can answer that!  The two devices are configured with the same GPIB address.  Probably the factory default setting which is always the same for the same model for Agilant.

Each device on a GPIB bus must have a unique address.

You can change the GPIB address on the devices from the front panel of the instrument.  Just read the manual for instructions on navigating the configuration settings.

Thank you for your reply.

I changed the gpib address by referring to the instrument manual and detected two instruments.
