NI Modbus TCP/IP library for LABVIEW NXG 4.0

Hello,

I want to convert NI Modbus library into LABVIEW NXG 4.0. Is modbus protocol supported in LABVIEW NXg?

When I am converting the LABVIEW 2016  NI Modbus library to LABVIEW NXG 4.0 i am getting many errors in Code convertibility tool. Has anyone already converted this library into  Labview Nxg? Please share or if any suggestion how to make the Modbus library compatible with LABVIEW NXG?

Sorry that I have now answer but the same problem.

I would also need the NI Modbus library for NXG 4.0

Eventually there is somebody out there who can convert this "eventually using the code conversion tool"

Thank you

Hello Vijay,

Could you share it with me? I was using Labview 2018SP1 and would like to switch to NXG 5.0 if possible.

Regards,

Pichien

Could you upload/share this library with the rest of the community (forum)? 😀

Hello Vijay,

I am using LabVIEW NXG 5.1 and I need a library for Modbus Serial communication.

Could you share the steps used to convert this library from LabVIEW to LabVIEW NXG? Or if you have already done so for the Modbus Serial version, share the library?

Thank you in advance!

Best regards

Matteo R.

ICYMI https://www.ni.com/en/shop/labview/labview-nxg.html

The final release of LabVIEW NXG was LabVIEW NXG 5.1 in 2021.

NI will not release new versions of LabVIEW NXG after LabVIEW NXG 5.1.

For more information about the change in the LabVIEW NXG life cycle, refer to the announcement in the LabVIEW Forum.

Those with existing LabVIEW NXG systems can continue to maintain them using LabVIEW NXG 5.1 and supported drivers. If you are beginning a new application, NI recommends using LabVIEW or the right configuration-based software for the project. The final hardware driver versions including support for LabVIEW NXG 5.1 are those released in 2021.

As mentioned, NXG has stopped all development so it's probably not what you ought to be using.

That said, if you're truly dedicated to this, instead of using the 2016 library, which uses newer features, you could see if the code conversion works better on the old library from LabVIEW 8.6 which just uses VISA functions:
