NI PCI-6030E fails some vi tests for "E" series DAQ's ( downloaded from the N.I web site)

I ran my PCi 6030E DAQ through this vi "E" series test , under the
Labview 7.1 program. It failed the ADC & PGIA parts as well as the
self calibration parts. It passed the rest of the tests. Windows 2000
says it is working OK , under the control panel/systems/data
acquisition list.

Is this a caibration problem, or an indication that there is something
more seriously wrong with it, like the PGIA being burned out due to an
overvoltage on some of the 16 analog input lines ?
Thanks in advance

Hi Dan,

E-Series Diagnostic Utility is a good indicator of whether the DAQ Card is working or not. But before we can come to any conclusions, it would be great if you can test the card out in MAX. Also did you notice an offset or something similar that prompted you to go in for the E-Series Diagnostic Utility?

If you have some kind of breakout box, we can generate a 5V Sine Wave in MAX from the Analog Output tab and wire it back to the Analog Input and see the wave in the display. A correct display would indicate that both analog input and analog output wprk correctly. The counter can be tested out by doing simple event counting and having the Counter Source as Internal Clock Reference.

Let me know if you have any further questions and I will be very happ
y to work with you on this.
