NI PXI -6704 function generation

Solved!

Hi forum folks,

I have a question regarding function generation, PWM to be specific, without the proper hardware. I am running NI PXIe-8135 Embedded controller in a NI PXIe-1078 Chassis. It is equiped with NI PXI3-8532 (DeviceNET), NI PXI-6515 Industrial Digital I/0, NI PXI-6225 (M Series Multifuction DAQ), and NI PXI-6704 (Analog Output). My quick question is: Can I generate PWM from any of those hardware?

Thank you!

The 6225 has hardware timed digital and a couple of counters. You should be able to use either. Have you looked at the examples?

Hi Dennis,

Thank you for your quick reply. I have tried several examples. One worked for me but I couldn't generate PWM signals higher than 0.5 Hz frequency. Do you have any working example in mind? I know I may have done something wrong with my current codes but I like to try new examples that would work for the 6225 hardware.

Thank you!

Start with Help> Find Examples or search the site for pwm.

Attach your code if you want help with it.

I got it to work on an independent Vi. But I need to somehow collect and record analog data from the same chassis. I'll ask more if I can't get it to work. Thanks Dennis!
