Hi,
Currently, i link my rotary encoder ( USB output connector, digital signal) to laptop to retrieve digital signal. Refer to picture 1.
I made a Labview program so that i can extract the digital data and export it to excel sheet.
The retrieve data sampling rate is up to 200Hz. I found the the number of data i got was lesser that i set.
Example: 100 Hz sampling rate , i got 98 data per second only.
I got advice that Labview internal timer is not so accurate is the root cause. External NI hardware is advise to use for accurate sampling rate. Refer to picture 2.
As such, anyone body can advice me what kind of NI hardware i should use.
Thank you very much.
best regards.

Well I couldn't see your tiny pictures but I don't think you are going to find any NI (or other brand) hardware that will sit in between your computer and the USB encoder.
You are going to have to go with a different encoder that has a standard quadrature output. (Not a USB device) Then you can use just about any NI DAQ that has a couple of counter inputs following this guide.

Hi, RTSLVU
Thank you for your advise.
Unfortunately, I bought the USB rotary encoder (with USB connector) already.
Is there any converter that has USB input port (for rotary encoder) and pins slot type output port (for NI hardware)?

I don't think so because any "converter" would basically have to be a computer that decodes the USB data and converts it to a standard quadrature signal.
If you have the schematic you might be able to hack in a breakout of the quadrature signal that you could send to a DAQ.
