NI puzzel.please solve

Hi

Am new to NI products. I am having a hard time trying to figure out what fits were? I am suppossed to develop a data aquistion application, which runs on an RTOS in a PXI system. From what i have read i am able to understand the following, please correct me if i am wrong

1.labview 7.0 with real time module is enough to develop real time application on host machine.
2.labview real-time must be installed in the target PXI which will be running on RTOS.
3.I can develop application and choose were to run it, that is choose the target in labview configuration.
4.labview real-time along with the hardware and RTOS is called RT engine.

Thanks for any answers

Best regards
Arun

It sounds like what would help you out the most is to contact your local NI Sales Representitive, also called a District Sales Manager (DSM). You can find out who this is and how to contact them by calling NI and just asking for your DSMs contact information.

Your DSM sould be more than willing to schedule a visit with you and could answer all your questions, and would probably bring along some demo equipment and software for you try.

As for your statements above, they seem to be pretty much on track. Looks like you've done a bit of reading.

Again, try to contact your DSM, their job is to help you get what you need and get you started. It's a good person to get to know.

Hi Arun,
I agree with Ed in that your assumptions of how the RTOS runs on a PXI system are correct so far. If you'd like further information, you can post them here, contact a sales representative (800-531-5066), or look through any of the documentation on our website. Here are some helpful links:
