Am I missing something or is there no way to add "off schedule" event to My Schedule?
Does this work for you?

Could not find it in the android app though .....

Thanks Christian,
I was never able to find "that" scheduling application. I've been using the Android app. That seems to work fine for finding and scheduling sessions.
I did manage to get to this "main" one, but how I got to it was different than what you had previously posted. The big green Schedule button os no longer there. Much too difficult to get to. Here's what I see today.
Click on "Connect".
Click on "Schedule".

Using the Abort button to stop your VI is like using a tree to stop your car. It works, but there may be consequences.07-19-2013 02:57 PM

If I enter the private event on the web interface, It later appears on the android app, but Yes, I could not find a way to add it directly in the app.
Also, the app seems a bit buggy. It just become completely unresponsive and I had to kill it and restart it. Hopefully, there will be updates that address these issues.

I agree that the current web layout is just a jungle, full of detours, dead ends, and hidden passages.
If you go to the NI-week website, it is not very intuitive to get to the session scheduler. Just try! (Why do I need to click in the "register" link if I am already registered?)
Why isn't there a link on the left to go directly to the scheduler?
Why isn't there a link to the scheduler on MyNI?
What's the point of the "dashboard page"? Seems to be just an empty page.
A few weeks ago, all registered participants should have received an e-mail entitled "NIWeek 2013 - All Systems. Go!"
The e-mail did NOT include a link to the full web scheduler, just for the mobile version, which seems unable to add personal events. (Same as the app).
Why suppress the more useful links, such as https://niweek2013.activeevents.com/connect/mySchedule.ww?

Also note that you can only schedule "personal time" aligned with some arbitrary session boundaries and not for arbitrary times and lenghts.
This thing is buggier than a formicarium.
Well, I think I simply export the schedule and import into my google calender. Seems less painful ... 😉

Also, if like me you purchased an exam as well, getting to where you would schedule your exam time is incredibly backwards, and when you get there, you better select the correct time the first time because the radio buttons are broken and you could end up like me and have all (3) options selected with no way for me (user) to fix this.
Also, it bugs me that these exams are not scheduled on Monday or the weekend after the offered classes. Its hard enough to get the seminars down to one per time-slot, let alone figure out which day I should pick to not attend any afternoon slots!
Oh, and to even get to where you can scehdule your exam, you have to do this step of actions:
"Register" to get to your "Portal" then click the "Registration" Link in your portal, then scroll all the way down under your purchase summary and click "edit educational courses".. Contrary to what you may think, any classes or exam prep's you may have added to your cart, the only thing that shows up when you do (for me anyway) is the exam itself. Not the class I have paid for and not the exam prep I want to attend.
NI Week is great for many more reasons than I want to list here, but they really need to step up the organizational tools and how things are scheduled. It is sad that this part of an otherwise great event is so user un-friendly.
