NIWeek VIs

For NIWeek 2003, I'd like to revive a presentation that I did years ago.

It involves taking in VIs/projects that are less than perfect along with
the description of where they fall short. Someone on the development
team will spend time to improve the VI's performance, appearance,
responsiveness, or whatever. Then in the NIWeek presentation, we will
walk through the changes, and let the audience comment on it too.

For this presentation to be made, we need raw materials -- VIs.

If you have something that you would like to have LV developers review,
send it to gam@ni.com along with any overview of where it fell short.

We promise not to reveal names or embarrass anyone -- besides ourselves.
If you aren't going to be at NIWeek, but are willing to lend us
the
VI, we'll see about getting you a copy of the presentation along with
your fixed up VIs.

This sounds like a wonderful idea. (I've been at this long enough that NOTHING embarrasses me 🙂 ) I shall forthwith be rummaging through my archives and submitting one of my most labor-intensive flops.

Thanks in advance. I have always removed any company and author
info so as to protect the innocent. Also, we try to point out the
good things about the application as well. I was starting to get
a bit worried about finding enough material for the presentation.

Any other donations?

Send them to gam@ni.com.

I have two LabVIEW projects that I can forward, however both of then interact with RS-232 systems and one with a GPIB. Will this be okay for your use?

That will be fine. If we need to demonstrate the program, we can switch
over to using simulated data.

Thanks in advance,
