NXG Style Palette for 2015 version

Hey there,

it is just cosmetic - but does anyone know if it is possible to somehow get the NXG-Style palette that I use in 2020 running with my old 2015 version?

Another option would be to use another style palette that just does not look that old 🙂

Thx guys!

Cheers

Anna

I prefer/recommend the System-style frontpanel elements…

Those NXG-style frontpanel elements did not exist when LV2015 was released. So the answer is "No, you don't get the NXG palette in LV2015!"

To get the complete palette, no.

Some of the elements have equivalents you can replicate.  For instance, if you like the NXG style of cluster, there is a semi-official "borderless cluster" that you can get here that works back to LabVIEW 8.0.

You can also edit the built-in controls using the methods shown here (but don't try out Xcontrols...).  Doing things like changing some of the elements to be transparent can remove the "beveled" look from some controls and give them a more NXG-esque appearance.  You can also change things such as the icons used for things like increment/decrement arrows by replacing them with custom images.  For instance, I replaced the increment/decrement buttons on this numeric control with colored arrows:
