National Instruments introduces LabVIEW 6.1

National Instruments introduces LabVIEW 6.1, LabVIEW Real-Time Module 6.1, and LabVIEW Datalogging and Supervisory Control Module 6.1, the newest versions of NIs industry leading graphical development environment. The LabVIEW 6.1 Family delivers powerful new networking and analysis capabilities that enable you to build measurement and control applications more quickly and easily than ever. Upgrade today!

What are the new features of LabVIEW 6.1?
Remote panels within seconds, you can remotely control LabVIEW through a web browser NO programming required
Integrated networking support for wireless communication and XML data makes it easier than ever to integrate LabVIEW with other systems
Enhanced measurement analysis LabVIEWs already powerful measurement and analysis is expanded to include a new point-by-point analysis library, pulse and transition measurements, and a higher performance Fast Fourier Transform
New event structure supports design and development of sophisticated user interfaces, and enables handling of mouse clicks and keyboard strokes

What are the new features of the LabVIEW Datalogging and Supervisory Control Module 6.1?
Historical Data Viewer gives you easy and intuitive access to your historical data. This function integrates data, alarms, and events in the same utility so you can define multiple views. For increased flexibility, create a custom viewer with historical viewer VIs.
Data Set IDs increase your productivity for high-channel-count applications. Use Data Set IDs to group a set of traces and define conditions for logging based on tag values and time. Data Set IDs also simplify data retrieval for groups of traces.
Historical Data Management Tools give you better control over historical data and simple transfer to other formats. Managing your historical data is now easier than ever. You can export to text or to NI DIAdem, archive and merge your historical data, rename, delete, and compress trace data storage.

What are the new features of the LabVIEW Real-Time Module 6.1?
Improved Real-Time Performance The LabVIEW Real-Time Module has added support for the new 1.2 GHz PXI controller, capable of running embedded applications at up to 40 kHz for a single PID loop. With this high-speed controller, you can develop more powerful real-time systems for applications such as hydraulic actuator testing, automotive engine testing, and aircraft flight control systems.
Enhanced Control Functionality The built-in PID control tools in the LabVIEW Real-Time Module have enhanced functionality for multiple PID loops. Applications that have simultaneous control loops can use a single function block to control multiple loops with independent setpoints, process variables, and gain scheduling.
Expanded Network Bandwidth With faster network data transfer rates, a real-time PXI chassis or embedded FieldPoint system can share more data with other network nodes. The improved network functionality for TCP/IP can also reduce processor overhead, allowing for more real-time computations.
