Need Help Installing 8.6.1 Upgrade

I just recieved my Q1 2009 software up date!  As I go to install it(from the DVD), on a vista machine, with 8.6 already installed, I recieve th folling error:

" Error:  Windows SDK function returned and error. (Error code -12)  The Handle is invalid."

Any Ideas?

Hi Gene,

Are you still getting this error?  Do you get the exact same error message every time you try reinstalling 8.6.1?  Also, could I have a screenshoot of the exact error message that you are seeing?

Actually after rebooting and removing and reinstalling the disk a couple of times it worked.  Maybe some sort of CD Rom drive issue?  Thanks for you help!

I need simple to install 8.6.1 from new DVD - setup program must correctly upgrade 8.6 to 8.6.1

Do I need to reactivate Labview (I have Base version)?

Hi hellboy,

You will have to reenter your serial number and reactivate LabVIEW when you upgrade.
