Need some help with commands

Hello there,

I've send this message already a few days ago, but I had to do a format of
my hard disc, and so lost everything, can't find back the replies to the
message I've allready sent...

We're 2 students who are doing their thesis in Imec, Belgium, and we're
looking for the programmer commands to control different instruments through
the GPIB card with Labview.
Those instruments are:
- Function Generator HP 33120A
- Oscilloscope TDS... (haven't been there for a while, and lost my
notes)
- Atomic Force Microscope (idem dito)

Next week we'll be there again, and I can look it up, so I let u know....

On the internet, we found out that for the oscilloscope, the commands were
discribed in the "TDS Family Digitalising Oscillosc
opes Programmer Manual"
(070-8709-01), but we can't find it on the internet.

So, can somebody help us with this commands?

Another question is that we use LabView 5.1 at Imec, but I have Win2K on my
computer at home, and LV 5.1doesn't runb on that, so I'll need LV 6i, but
there is my net problem....
Do the VI's that I've made in LabView6i work in LV 5.1 too, or not?

Thx in advance,

Hans Spincemaille

Hi,
normally you should find a driver library for the
HP33120A and Tek-scopes on the second CD shipped with LabVIEW. If you don't have them - look at Natinst-website http://zone.ni.com/idnet
There you can download driver-libraries for your instruments, maybe that Atomic..... is
not available. The GPIB-command-set and the manuals you can find on HP's (now
agilent.com) and tek.com website's. If your search should be not successfull -
please write to: werner.hasche@web.de - I can send the needed info to you. If necessary you can have some example-programs.
These instruments I have in use via GPIB. Because I could use some good ideas from IMEC, you should get something back.............

Hello Hans
Another mail on your previous message already explained that LV5.1 runs ok under win2k. The problem is the installer that does give a warning: wrong OS, but after that installs ok.

About the drivers for the instrument do'nt write them yourself. It takes much too long and they are both available from NI.
