Thanks for raising this issue. I believe we're talking about two slightly different issues here and I want to address them separately.
Within the documentation (https://www.ni.com/docs/en-US/bundle/labview/page/lvhowto/lv_getting_started.html) we unfortunately have a known bug when generating very large PDFs such as the PDF for the entire LabVIEW documentation. We're working on it, but in the meanwhile you can get around it by downloading sections of the documentation (such as Fundamentals) instead of the entire manual. I'll DM you shortly and if you'd like to give me your email I can send you the PDFs directly.
On the Getting Started tutorial (https://learn.ni.com/learn/article/labview-tutorial#) these are not designed exclusively for a student audience, they are designed for anyone who might be new to LabVIEW which is why we include download and activation instructions. There is a print to PDF feature/icon at the top right that is unfortunately not working as expected. We'll investigate why.
