Newsgroup server

I´d like to see other newsgroups besides comp.lang.labview.

Do you know a newsgroup server to see natinst.public.xx.xx ?

There are other newsgroups for NI products located at the
www.natinst.com/support page. Follow the link to User
Support Newsgroups. There aren't any other LV specific
newsgroups listed there, but there is a really big mailing
list. You can see the archives and subscription details
at http://vaneg1.ecs.umass.edu/Socratis/LabVIEW/

If you want to turn the mailing list into a newsgroup
once inside of a company server, you can just use a
mail to news convertor.

As for now, there is no public NNTP server available for clients to
connect to and read the natinst.public newsgroups. However, you do have
two options for the present time:

1) visit http://www.natinst.com/usn to read the newsgroups through a
web-based news browser

2) ask your News Service Provider (in your case, Telefonica Transmision
de Datos) to make the natinst.public.* hierarchy an active hierarchy on
the news server that you connect to such that you can read the
newsgroups.

I can say that we at NI are making concerted efforts to get a publicly
available NNTP server up and running -- many folks have asked for this,
and we will be responing with this service in the near future.
