Besides MAX, What NI software do you believe you have installed?

I have installed Labview 2009 which comes together with MAX, and NI Device Drivers which is for communication of the devices. What is this phenomenon indicated? Was I installed something wrong? Or what else i havent installed?

It indicates you got a bad (possibly corrunpted) installation or a firewall is not allowing MAX to communicate via TCP/IP socket between the NI services on the machine.  If your SSP is up to date I would open a service request and send a technical support report from MAX (FILE>Create Report...)

Did you install DAQmx, or just some other device drivers (for example NI-VISA)?  If so, try installing DAmx.  That fixed this problem for me, although I don't understand why DAQmx should be needed on a system that does not have any DAQ devices.
