No view Windows Media Player

Hi,

I created application te view avi file by using Windows Media Player ActiveX container.

Evereything works fine until i set the vi proprties->windows appearance to "top level application window".

There is no view in the Windows Media Player, it stays black.

What you can see is the action( connecting, play, pause, etc)

I'am using LabVIEW 8.2 on a windows XP SP3 machine, Windows Media Player version 9.0.0.4503.

To get back to the previous situation i set the window appearance back to default and 

i have to restart labview before i get a my view back.

Aditional information. 

It seems that, if i have the diagram window open at start of the program everything is working.

when diagram window is not opened at start the WindowsMediaplayer gives black view.

Dear Fred,

thank you for your post on our webfoum. I noticed another discussion (not exactly the same problem as yours) with black screens with Windows mediaplayer. There it's stated there shouldn't be a problem with WMP 10. Before upgrading you can try to relink the object as explained in this thread, after upgrading you need to relink the active x component. Please find also the following knowledge base where also problems with 8.20 and WMP 9 are stated.
