Not able to add measurement task on cRIO 9057 device in LabVIEW NXG 5.0

Hello everyone,

I’m trying to use cRio 9057 with NI 9217 temperature module and NI 9472 voltage output module. I’m using LabVIEW NXG 5.0. I have installed CompactRIO 20.0 and DAQmx 20.0 as mentioned in cRio data sheet on my PC.

I’m able to see my cRIO chassis and both these c series modules inside NI MAX and they are providing expected readings when I use test panels.

Then I created an application on RT controller inside system designer. When I tried to add simple measurement task in this application by right clicking on (application_name.gcomp) > New > Analog input, I’m not able to get the graph and readings for this temperature task. It is showing me an error “This document is unsupported on this target”. Same thing is happening for voltage output channel.

In live view of system designer, I can see my cRIO device with status as matched.

When I tried to the same thing with a simulated hardware, it is working fine. I’m able to get the readings and graph as well.

How to solve this problem while using cRIO device? Can some one help me with this?

Thank You!

Hi,

Are you mind to share the application which you have created at LV NXG and how is the connection in between NI 9217 and NI 9472 with your measurement device?

Thanks.

Hello,

For now, I have made an simple application which has a task  just to view the temperature measurement graph. I am attaching the screenshot of that.

I have connected a RTD sensor to channel 1 on NI 9217 in 4 wire config as per the user manual.  And for NI 9472,  I'm just trying to toggle the LED's by adding the digital output task on this application.

I have placed both these modules in slot 1 and 2 of my cRIO 9057 and this cRIO is connected to my PC with LabVIEW NXG via USB type c connection.

I have followed the instructions given in the following video to create this data acquisition task.

Thank you.
