OPC/DSC/Kepware Server

When I attempt to deploy my application, I receive "Deployment failed: The client process cannot communicate with the configuration server process....."

I have DSC Run Time module on the target machine and I can read the OPC tags on the Kepware Quick Client so I narrowed it down to something to do with LV.  I've read about the "identity of interactive user" and I do have that checked in the DCOM for the client server.

Thanks in advance for the help/ideas.

Programmer,

What kind of hardware are you using and how do you have it setup?

Do you have any firewalls on this machine that may be keeping it from connecting the client to the configuration?

Daniel,

Thank you for the response!

It's through BACnet and is setup through a crossover cable.  I don't believe the hardware setup is the issue as we had it working previously on the other computer before it crashed.

The Windows Firewall is disabled and it is a standalone machine with no antivirus or anything like that.

I have DSC Run Time Module on the target machine and DSC Run Time on the development machine.

Programmer,

Nothing is coming to mind immediately for a solution.

Is this the exact deployment error you are getting?

"Deployment failed: The client process cannot communicate with the configuration server process....."

I would like to search our internal known issues if I can.

Daniel,

I can give you the exact error message later today, but yes, for the most part that is the error message.  There is a code attached and I'll get that.

I've tried searching everywhere on ni.com and externally and still have yet to find anything.

Programmer,

Awesome. The code will be very helpful in identifying exactly the communication issue.

Daniel, here is the error message I receive.

The OPC server is located on 192.168.1.10 so it is the same subnet

I mean 0.10 not 1.10 ... and I can talk with the OPC server through the KEPware software

Programmer,

I see where you have also been working with Applications Engineer, Blayne, on this issue.  I spoke with him and relayed the information from our discussion forum.

He will be your primary contact on this issue from now on.
