Online Help files for DAQ missing on Mac

I am working with a PowerMac 7600 running MacOS 8.6. I installed Labview 5.0 and NI-DAQ 6.6 on it. Now that I am setting up my data acquisition VIs, all of the online help files related to DAQ are missing.

From within the QuickHelp file, if I attempt to open the "Data Acquisition VIs" reference file, it produces an error message telling me "That topic cannot be found. Please contact technical support." From within the DAQ VIs themselves, the option to obtain Online Help is present but greyed out.

Any idea why these help files are missing? Where can I get them? I only recently installed both LabVIEW and NI-DAQ, but should I try installing one or the other again?

Thanks for any help.

Have you tried reinstalling your DAQ driver? You may have inadvertantly not installed the help the first time.

I'm running NI-DAQ 6.6.1 on a G4 with OS 9.2.2, and I have no problem reading the help files. The actual file is lvdaq.hlp, and it should be installed LabVIEW:help directory. Can you do a search on your hard drive for this file? It may have gotten misplaced somehow.

If you find it, you can launch it directly if you have quickhelp installed.

Gerardo
