There are some old posts about this, but the links in them are all dead. I would like to open a VI (or perhaps an EXE) on my remote computer with a LV EXE on my local machine.
I can do this with an invoke node if Labview is open on the remote machine. I can also put the VI in the Windows Startup folder, but I would like to have the ability to launch the VI (or EXE) unconditionally?

Hi deskpilot,
You can use windows task scheduling to run exe files at start up. Go to Scheduled Task in your control panel, create a new task, browse to your executable and finish the configuration wizard. Make sure to select "When my computer starts" for when the task should be performed. Hope this helps. (These instructions are for XP SP3)
