PDA HP5550 with PC Card 6036E not recognized

Heya all!

I want to use a PC Card 6036E with my PDA. Now I got everything connected the way many of you have mentioned before (expansion socket). Problem is that the DAQmx Base does not recognize the card i.e. I am trying to create a new task and there are no DAQ devices available. The M&A manager isn't showing anything either. Am I missing something?

Thanks in advance

Hi,

Are you using Win CE on that PDA?

What NI-SW is running there? (+versions plz)

If the device doesn't show up at the MAX (M&A) the driver might not be assigned correctly. Check out if there is some kind of device Manager on your OS where you can reasign the driver.

I am using Win Ce Version 4.20.0 and LabVIEW 2011. I can already upload and run VIs on the PDA, I am guessing it's not a compatibility issue of that sort..

Hi,

Are You using the DAQmx 3.4.5? ( http://joule.ni.com/nidu/cds/view/p/id/2651/lang/en )

If you need to reinstall DAQmx Base without PC, use the development PC to copy the file daqmxb.sa.CAB from
C:\Program Files\National Instruments\NI-DAQmx Base\Pocket PC\daqmxb.sa.CAB
to the same location on the PDA. When you need to reinstall the driver, first remove NI-DAQmx Base using the built-in Remove Programs functionality on the PDA and then run the above file.
