PDA Module Property addtion disables PDA compile feature

I loaded the PDA module suppliment provided by NI at the URL below and now I can no longer compile applications for the PDA.

This patch was supposed to add the ability to control colors of front panel controls.

http://sine.ni.com/apps/we/niepd_web_display.display_epd4?p_guid=E49D3D458E4B4007E034080020E74861&p_node=200515&p_source=external

The installation went OK but I get this error when I try to compile now: .\lib\DAQmxBase\rlprefnumARM.lib is a missing VI or C file

This only happens when trying to build for the PDA. I can no longer create PDA applications.

Dear bstedwel,

Thank you for contacting National Instruments.

To address your question, the property addition mistakenly adds a library that is contained in DAQmxBase, so when you build for PDA it looks for DAQmxBase installed. That is why it is not in the website any more. National Instruments has removed it to fix it.

I'm assuming you don't have DAQmxBase installed. My first suggestion would be to install it if you currently don't have it. This solution is easier than trying to locate all the files and uninstalling them. You can find it at www.ni.com and it's under Drivers and Updates. Search for DAQmxBase Version 1.0.

Let me know if you have any further questions or if this does not resolve your issue.

Thanks again and have a great day!

Chad is correct that it was assuming that DAQmx Base was installed and installing DAQmx Base should resolve the issue. The installation utility did however backup the files it modified so I've attached a little exe to replace the files with the originals which should get you back up and running. I removed that page and am correcting that issue. It should be fixed and back up by the end of the day. Sorry for the inconvience.

Regards,

JR A.
