The same thing happens with gif & jpg images.  Only BMP work correctly.  Convert your image to a larger JPG (of GIF) and try it out.  I have with both mine & your images and it gives same out of memory error.

Hey Robert,

As you suggested, I converted one of your pictures to *.jpg (size of 824KB) and I was able to reproduce the program crashing but I did not recieve an error. I will research into this further and let you know my results.

Hi JPaul, can you give mobile module R&D development guys the heads up on this issue.  Surely, I will be testing this in LabVIEW 2009 beta (that is if I'm accepted to the beta program).
