PDF versions of Application Notes?

First off, how many "Application Notes" are there? And is there a single URL in cyberspace that lists all the current "Application Notes"?

I know there is at least a partial list of App Notes towards the bottom of the Labview 7.0 documentation page:

http://digital.ni.com/public.nsf/3efedde4322fef19862567740067f3cc/377c2b4a2262548d86256d2b007730bb

Is that it? Surely there are more of them.

I know there are a number of "Application Notes and Tutorials" to be found within the "Development System":

http://zone.ni.com/devzone/devzone.nsf/webcategories/2E4161187E3DEB30862568660020BCC8

For instance, the "LabVIEW Data Storage" App Note looks really interesting:

http://zone.ni.com/devzone/conceptd.nsf/webmain/370DFC6FD19B318
C86256A33006BFB78

It would be really nice if this were available in PDF format somewhere - it's an incredible pain to have to A) find an App Note like this in the first place, then B) switch to the printable version of it, then C) actually print it [or save it to a local hard drive].

In fact, it would be really nice if all the App Notes were available in PDF format at some common URL somewhere in cyberspace. Something like

ftp://ftp.ni.com/pub/devzone/AppNotes

would be ideal.

Are the App Notes available somewhere in PDF format, or they available only in HTML?

OK, I tried your link:

http://www.ni.com/devzone/libraries/appnotes.htm

That link [and subsequent links] clearly state "The documents listed on these pages are only the technical documents available in PDF format." There are then several ways to get to any particular document [by product line, by number, &c].

Let's take as an example the document that interested me, "AN154B LabVIEW Data Storage." No matter how I try to get there [by product line, by number], I am sent to an HTML file, NOT a PDF file.

What's worse is that in HTML format, this document won't fit on standard 8.5" X 11" paper - you have to switch to landscape mode just to print the stupid thing.

PS: If anyone gets this far, what I'd really like to find is an official, rock-solid, thi
s-is-the-final-word, PDF kind of a document that describes exactly what the "Waveform DataType" is, down to the level of 0's and 1's [or at least as close to 0's and 1's as is possible without giving away all of NI's intellectual property].

In the future, I'll be interested in other data types, but for the moment I'd be happy just to get some official documentation on "Waveform".

Thanks!

All technical notes related to LabVIEW are installed in the folder Manuals of your LabVIEW installation if you have done this during your installation process. You can also reach this from LabVIEW Help>>Search the LabVIEW Book shelf.. menu. If this entry is not present you have not installed the manuals. In this case go to the Control Panel >> Software and select National Instruments Software >> LabVIEW 7.0 and use Modify.

Thanks. I found them at last!

They've got some whacky names, though. For instance, the aforementioned "AN154B LabVIEW Data Storage", which you'd think would be called "an145b.pdf", is instead called "datastrg.pdf".

Go figure.
