PID Autotune on cRIO?

Does anyone know if any of the PID Autotune VI’s work on compactRIO’s? I’m having a hard time getting anything to work when it comes to Autotune.

I did find some older posts from 2009 or something that said autotune doesn’t work on RT embedded devices. I was hoping that would’ve changed by now.

Any insight is greatly appreciated. Thanks!

Hi David,

So you did get something to work on cRIO - after a hard time?

Which errors do you get?

(Definitely a problem will by any subVI, which tries to open a frontpanel with lots of property nodes behind - like the PID Autotune Assistent subVI…)

Best regards,

No, Gerd. I did not get anything to work after a hard time.

I'm not getting any errors.  When I use "PID Autotuning.vi", and I view the PID gain output indicator, nothing is changing. When I adjust the autotune settings, nothing happens to the PID gain output indicators. It seems to non-responsive.

So, at this point I am wondering if PID autotuning vi's work at all with RT embedded targets. Posts from the past seem to indicate that they don't.
