PID Control Toolkit for 8.5 or other solution

I developed a VI for my class (Buffalo State College - Electrical Engineering Technology - Control Systems) in 7.1 that used these subVIs:

PID Autotuning VI

PID Control Input Filter VI

legacy NI SEC UI Security 7x (I forgot what this one did)

My quick search shows that these VIs may have been moved to the PID Control Toolkit for 8.5.

Is this correct, that I can't run my VI that I developed in 7.1 on 8.5 without the PID Control Toolkit?

Perhaps our school has the PID Control Toolkit, and our computer administrator (who just now went on vacation for two weeks) can't help me.

Can you tell me if our school has the PID Control Toolkit, or do we have to purchase it separately?

Is there a quick solution - somehow running my 7.1 VI on 8.5?

Thanks for your post and I hope your well today.

In short I believe you should be able to install the PID toolset to LabVIEW 8.5 (as well as LabVIEW 7.1). Please look at the following knowledgebase article,

Regarding if you have this, I would you to contact your local NI Sales Office - if your in the UK you can phone 01635 523545 - if you have SSP or email a service request at ni.com/ask. Otherwise, I'm sure you can call up your office to ask to speak to your sales representative who will let you know what the college has brought.
