Hello All, I have three valves that are controlled by relays. When radioactive gas flows through two of them, it diffuses into saline water and I can measure the concentration of radioactivity in the water. The production of radioactive water is halted when I turn on the bypass valve. I would like to maintain a user set concentration of radioactivity in the water by regulating the valves. I made a elementary control vi without using PID control but the valves open and close too often. Can anyone point out how I acheive this using PID control or point me to references where I can learn something about PID control. Thank you.
