)PLS( UAD2+ control using I/O Assistance

Dear,
I'm tring to control a Univesal Access Device from PLS to program STR7 microcontroller using I/O Assistance.

this device can be accessed by two ways:
  1. USB2
  2. Ethernet.

Can I use I/O Assistance to control this device through USB2? If yes, How from A-Z?

Can I use I/O Assistance to control this device through Ethernet? If yes, How to configure the nertwork to be listed in the I/O Assistance instrument list?

Thanks

Here are a few resources that will help you control your device. These resources explain all the steps. First link is to learn more about I/O Assistant and get used to using it. Second link will help you control ethernet devices using VISA. You have to understand that I/O assistant generates a VISA code.

Hi 47645ist,

I'm not sure if the member who originally posted is around to comment, but I would recommend that you contact PLS about purchasing the part. A quick google search on the product returned the following useful site:

Communication Hardware "Universal Access Device 2+" - UAD2+.
