PMD-1208FS Analog output?

Has anyone gotten the analog outputs on a Measurement Computing PMD-1208FS USB device to work with the MCC supplied vi's?

The analog out examples do not work and I can not get the Aout vi to work either. I keep getting an error code 30 - Invalid voltage (or current) range.

I have used a range value from 0 to 100. As far as I can tell this input should be ignored anyway since the PMD-1208FS only has on output range.

Any help would be appreciated. I am using Labview version 7.

Thanks,

Mike

Hello Mike,

I'm not familiar with the type of hardware and software support MCC provides with their devices, but you will probably want to make sure that the hardware works successfully before trying to get it to work with the software - in this case, LabVIEW. National Instruments provides a tool called Measurement and Automation Explorer (MAX) which allows a user to troubleshoot the hardware without introducing a software variable into the equation.

In the case that a user is using a NI product and they were able to successfully test in MAX, the next step is to test the hardware with an example program which gets installed with the NI-DAQ driver. These examples are developed and tested to make sure they work with the specified hardware and software setup.
It sounds like you are currently in a step such as this. If you are not able to get the examples to work that MCC provides you with, then you should either try to test the functionality of the hardware device without LabVIEW, contact MCC for assistance, or consider switching your vendors.

Best of luck with your application.
