PR655 spectro radiometer

I have a PR655 spectro radiometer coonected to my PC via a USb cable. I am not able to communicate with this instrument with labview. Could any one pls help me

What have you tried and what is the problem? A quick Google search led me to the product page for your unit and it seems communicating over RS-232 with text-based messages.

There are lots of examples on serial communication in Labview, try looking at them if you are unsure about the concept.

I am not able to communicate with this instrument with  NImax . in the manual they haven;t given the termination character . so what should i use wheni communicate with this instrument or else i have to set the baud rate, parity,data bits and stop bits only. Also in the manual they have given that we should enter the word PHOTO as “P” “H” “O” “T” “O” , as single caracters to make the instrument remote controlled . how should i send this command via NImax window
