I'm trying to bring up an old test set that was working fine a few years ago. But now when I try running it, the AI Buffer Read vi gives an Error -10805, "
The clock rate is faster than the hardware can support. An attempt to input or
output a new data point was made before the hardware could finish processing
the previous data point. This condition may also occur when glitches are
present on an external clock signal."
It's the same hardware and software, so I'm puzzled by this. What could cause this? Thanks.

Hi Prog Bill,
It is possible something has broken in your system. Try doing a self test of the device in MAX. You may also try Test Panels and verify AI and AO functions.
There is a DAQ Diagnostic tool that you can use to test your device as well.

You may also try putting the card in another slot incase it is a problem with the chassis and not the card.
Kind Regards,
Allie

Thanks Allie. The card is bad. When I first looked at MAX I opened the card under PXI, instead of DAQ. So no test panels or self test were listed. Thanks again.
