Having problems with a PXI-6070E simply not reading voltage. Application is high voltage capacitor bank charge control, and the PXI-6070E mounted in a PXI-1042 chassis along with other cards reads voltages indicating charge level of the banks.
Problem: in MAX test panel and in DAQmx reads, all analog inputs read minimum voltage no matter the input signal.
Changing the PXI-6070E to a new-to-us reconditioned module did not fix the problem. Moving the 6070E to another slot in the PXI-1042 chassis did not fix the problem.
Applying a 1.4V battery input to any AI on the PXI-6070E via a SCB-68 breakout board results in no change to that analog input in MAX test panel or DAQmx read.
We've purchased a reconditioned/certified PXI-6070E board. Putting that in same slot in PXI-1042 chassis as original board resulted in all AI channels reading maximum voltage no matter the input value, and a 1.4V battery yields +10V out.
Any suggestions? We're at wits end as to how to fix this.
Full setup is voltage signal inputs to SC-2345 with AI04 conditioning modules then via 68-pin cable to the PXI-6070E in the PXI-1042 chassis. Originally we thought the AI04 modules or the carrier were bad, but replacing them had no effect and hooking a battery as flat DC input to one of the modules does result in an appropriate output voltage through the 68-pin cable - so we don't think the SC-2345 or its modules are a problem. Bypassing the SC-2345 showed same problem without the SC-2345 in the signal chain with the 1.4V battery test input.
What's the modern equivalent of SC-2345 to PXI-6070E, by the way? NI docs suggested a new card, but not hardware to replace the SC-2345 signal conditioning.
