PXI-6071E 2-wire resistance measurement issues.

Hello, im very new to these kind of Labview applications,

I am currently using Labview 14.0 and im trying out the PXI-6071E on our system. Now, making voltage measurements is functioning as intended, but 2-wire resistance measurements via the analog inputs isnt working for me. With the Vi "Create Virtual Channel" im unable to select which channel to be the reference of the channel. Maybe my syntax is wrong, but i couldnt find any documentation about it. I uploaded an image of my Vi.

How would i, as an example measure the resistance between channel 8 and channel 10?

I have tried single and multiple channel setups, neither worked for me.

Hi Aleksandar,

all I found about the 6071(E) mentions voltage input channels. You will not be able to measure resistance using just voltage inputs…

The usual approach is to apply Ohm's law and drive a (defined) current through your resistor. Then measure the voltage across that resistor!
