Partial front panel prints

Hello,
I am trying to print the front panel of my program using the easy print VI panel.vi.  I have also tried going to file - print and going through the steps.  In the print preview everything is fine but the attached file is what is printed.  If I print to a html file all is ok.  I am using LV 8.2

Any ideas?

Hi Bryan,

I do not see anything attached... What seems to be going on exactly? Is not all of the front panel printed? If so, what isn't?

I'm not sure what happened to the attachment but here it is again.  I am printing landscape and only about 1/4 of the page prints on the right side, the rest is grey.

Hi Bryan,

This is certainly strange. What type of printer is this? Is it network or directly connected? Also, I did not understand from your first post: did using File»Print also give you 1/4 of the page or did that work as expected?

Can your printer print other documents perfectly - such as opening the saved html file and going to File»Print from there?

Hello Sam,

I have tried 2 different printers, both HP lasers over the company network.

The file >>print method printed the same 1/4 page.  I looked at the print preview and everything looks ok, but only prints a 1/4 page.  If I print to a html file everything is ok.

HI Bryan,

A few questions for you:
1) Once you've saved to an HTML file, can you print these HTML files successfully?
2) Are both printers the same? Same driver, etc? Or are they different models? Please tell us which models they are.
3) Are other applications printing OK to these printers? Word, etc?

Thanks,

Hi Bryan,

This sure seems to be a LabVIEW issue, most likely with interacting with the printer driver. On my end, I will add to the existing corrective action request with this information.

As to what I can recommend to you, I would suggest that you try finding a different version of the printer driver to see if this alleviates the issue.

Best regards,

I'm having exactly the same problem, but only about 1/10 of my front panel is printed; the rest gray. I'm printing over a LAN to either an HP Laserjet 2550Ln or HP Laserjet 8550N. I'm running Windows XP & Labview 8.2.1. Print preview looks ok. No other print problems. Block diagrams print fine.

Apparently the work around for now is to print the panel to HTML or RTF document, and print the document out manually.

Hope this helps!
