See screenshot. The analog waveform is buffered on the PC and output by the USB-6211 continuously until stop is pressed. I have this set up so I can use a digital output to pause the output, but I get an error saying that the required resource is already in use. Have I set this up incorrectly? If I just get rid of the DAQmx routing of the DO to the ao/PauseTrigger, it works fine. Once I make that call though, I get the error. And once the error has occurred, I need to remove the routing function AND reset the USB-6211 in order to get analog output working again... as if the USB-6211 maintains the routing information after the vi is stopped and re-started.

Just read Kevin's reply to an earlier post that I created today.
I think my answer is shown here: https://forums.ni.com/t5/Multifunction-DAQ/AO-buffering-problems/m-p/3670524#M93092
