Phase shift-urgent

Dear Lynn,

thankyou so much for your patient. Can i ask you how u accurately determind the vaules signal 1 is -1.57 = pi/2 and the phase of signal 2 is -.52 = pi/6 at 50 Hz ampltude by reading the graphs? Also how do i change my waveform into Log format?

Also when i changed both to 0 degree, my specture actually shows a whiteline and is at -1.57. By right it should be zero isnt it?I am blaffed.could you advise me?

cheers

Shawn,

To change the graph context-click on the graph. From the menu which pops up select Y Scale >> Mapping >> Logarithmic.

If you turn Auto-scale off, you can manually change the values of the endpoints of the axis scales. Change the left end of the X-axis scale to 40 and the right end to 60. Similarly you can change the Y-axis scales for better vertical resolution.

To precisely read the values turn on the cursors and move the cursor to the point of interest. The cursor legend then displays the values (50, -1.570), (50, -0.523).

Dear Lynn,

Many thanks for your help and i have solved most of the problem till this date and my phase shift is correct. However back to my attachment again when i have 2 sinewave of one is zero phase and the other is 60degree. When i set both of them at zero, at my phase shift graph i would expect a zero at 50Hz. However i saw was my white waveform only at the rad is -1.57. I mean there wasnt any phase shift and how could it turn out to be -1.57rad which is 90 degree?Hope you could advise me.

Cheers

Dear Lynn,

i very much appreciate your guidance and thus i have successfully create amodel which is able to compare 2 signals of their phase shift at the same time.

I have a problem where comparing 2 transients of different phase shift at each cycle.I have screen print my result in the attachment. I was wondering how those this dual spectural measurment channel is about to compute a transient waveform? My first cycle of the waveform phase shift is 11.28 degree and subsequently when the signal under transient condition, it phase shift is 28.8. The graphs r in degree.

the second graph shows the result of their phase shift. I am curious how the dual channel spectual measrument gave me the result of 24 degree?refer to the second graphs.Hope you can advise me.many thanx
