Does anyone have any information regarding how Unwrap Phase.vi works?

Unwrap Phase.vi makes the jumps between every two adjacent points of the input sequence less than pi.

x[n] = x[n-1] + floor((x[n] - x[n-1])/2pi+0.5)*2pi
